Marvell Rallies on Strategic Collaboration with Empower Semi and Upbeat Analyst Coverage

Marvell Technology Inc. (MRVL) climbed 7.09% following the announcement of a strategic partnership with Empower Semiconductor and a series of analyst upgrades. Empower, the market leader in Integrated Voltage Regulators (IVRs), will co-develop next-generation power management solutions optimized for Marvell’s custom silicon platforms. The collaboration is expected to deliver significant performance improvements for Marvell’s data centre and AI chip customers by embedding ultra-efficient power systems directly into the silicon substrate, reducing power losses and improving thermal management.

Analyst upgrades were fuelled by improving visibility into hyperscale and AI-related demand. JPMorgan and BofA raised their price targets, citing stronger-than-expected traction in AI networking, margin expansion, and robust design wins in custom compute. Marvell’s positioning in the cloud and telecom AI infrastructure stack continues to gain investor confidence, especially as capital spending by major cloud providers begins to reaccelerate.

AST SpaceMobile Soars on Vodafone Idea Deal to Expand Satellite Connectivity Across India

ree

AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) surged 10.6% after finalizing a commercial agreement with Vodafone Idea (Vi), one of India’s largest telecom operators, to deploy satellite-to-mobile services throughout the subcontinent. This marks AST’s most commercially significant announcement to date, as the deal targets over 600 million underserved mobile users in rural India with low-latency broadband via space-based infrastructure.

The partnership, which builds on existing regulatory clearances, is set to deliver broadband-grade connectivity without the need for any additional user hardware. The initial rollout will focus on disaster recovery, remote healthcare, and education services, leveraging AST’s BlueWalker 3 satellite. Investors interpreted the deal as validation of AST’s unique value proposition — combining satellite reach with standard mobile usability — which could pave the way for similar partnerships in Africa and Southeast Asia. Analysts noted this deal accelerates AST’s path to recurring revenue and supports its 2025 commercial launch timeline.

Gorilla Technology Posts Explosive Q1 Growth, Anchored by AI Adoption and Global Contracts

UBS Forecasts $1.7 Trillion Humanoid Robotics Market — Nvidia, Tesla, Honeywell to Benefit

UBS released a landmark report projecting the humanoid robotics sector will evolve into a $1.7 trillion global industry by 2050, citing falling component costs, breakthroughs in AI cognition, and rising labour shortages. The firm sees widespread adoption across logistics, eldercare, manufacturing, and defence, particularly in developed markets facing demographic pressures.

Key beneficiaries include Nvidia (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), and Honeywell (HON). Nvidia is positioned through its advanced AI training and inference platforms (notably its Jetson and Isaac SDKs), which serve as foundational infrastructure for robotics developers. Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot, though still in early-stage development, leverages Tesla’s AI chips and vertically integrated manufacturing, positioning it as a potential category leader. Honeywell, with decades of automation and controls experience, is expected to benefit from retrofitting industrial systems for human-robot collaboration.

UBS sees early commercialization starting around 2030, with labour cost savings, AI regulation, and social adoption as key catalysts. The report sparked renewed investor interest in long-term AI infrastructure plays beyond traditional compute.
